Why I Started Sex Work At 56 Years Old
I got into sex work because I found myself unemployed at the age of 56 with rent and utilities coming in at $4,700/month. A friend suggested sex work and I was a bit timid at first since I had not had sex in 12 years. But it took off like gang busters. While living in San Diego I had 100 regular clients who brought in a tidy income, enough to put my son through college.
My son and I moved to New Orleans in 2012 and he began having health issues. He was hospitalized and surgery was performed. One issue lead to another until he was completely disabled. Not able to work or do much else. So my supporting him financially as well as emotionally and physically became my utmost priority. My goal was to buy a house for my son so that when I am dead he will not be homeless. I was able to buy a property in Northern California that had 2 houses on it, one for me and one for him this way, when I die he can rent out my house for income to help him pay the bills.

I enjoy my work and often times miss my clients here in New Orleans. I actually had to change my phone number because they kept calling me asking for “just one more time”.
